Spring Classroom Parties are March 28, 2025
farmland’s unique class party model
Farmland students enjoy 3 classroom parties, one each in the fall, the spring, and at the end of the school year. These classroom parties are a celebration of our students, our PTA, our talented Farmland education professionals, and our school’s core values of EQUITY and INCLUSION as well as TRANSPARENCY.
Equity
All students in a grade level enjoy the same high-quality and fun party. All students participate and every student is given the same prize, regardless of a student’s ability to contribute financially to our class party fund.
Inclusion
Our parties do not reference specific seasonal holidays, nor do they include food. Additionally, party plans are adapted for LFI classrooms. We are proud to boast our 100% party participation rate among Farmland students.
Transparency
With the PTA centralizing the party planning, we ensure that all activities are developmentally appropriate for each grade. And with the PTA centralizing the funds for classroom parties, we are able to pool funds across the school and offer equitable experiences for all students. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, our PTA reports on class party fund income and expenses at our regular meetings. Contribute here.
Games
Students enjoy developmentally appropriate fun and silly games that emphasize community-building in their classroom.
Crafts
Students partake in age-appropriate seasonal crafts to show off at school or at home.
Prizes
At our parties, all Farmland students receive a prize. Past prizes have included school-branded stainless steel water bottles, flying discs, and jibbitz bands with charms.
