2025 Geography bowl
Open to all 3rd-5th graders - not a mandatory event, but it’s a great way to learn about the world!
It’s time for the Geography Bowl!
Is your student ready to learn more about the world around us and join a fun competition? The Farmland PTA-sponsored Geography Bowl is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The 3rd grade packet is focused on the USA; 4th grade expands to include the Americas, Antarctica, Australia and Oceania; and 5th grade focuses on Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Study Packets:
Below are the links to study packets (by grade). If your student would like to participate, please print a copy so they can color the maps and answer the questions. We also have some hard copies available in the office upon request.
Encourage your students to start working on the study packet now! Everything they need to be successful is in the packets. Later this month, we will share the answer keys so they can self-correct their work and prepare for the qualifying quiz for their grade.

Qualifying quizzes
On October 23rd, interested students will be able to take the qualifying quizzes (during lunch/recess) and the top scorers will be formed into teams for their grade's Geo Bowl.
Geo Bowls Dates/Times
We will hold the Geo Bowls in the Media Center (with a Zoom link so parents/family of bowl participants may join virtually): November 13th and 14th
